A Recent Update To Melon Truck Changes The Game
June 25, 2011
Melon Truck by Batuhan Akalin just received an update that made some really nice improvements. AppAdvice did a full review of melon truck previously, which can be found here.
The object of the game is to shoot melons from the back of your truck into baskets and earn points. The speed and angle settings of your shooter are crucial in getting the melon into the basket. Since the update, the speed and angle will show up on the top center of your screen, which is more visible than the previous version. The gameplay also seems easier, as I was able to aim my shot more accurately.
Previously, there were only three melons on each level, which made them kind of short. Now, there are five melons in each level and they even come in a variety of colors. Another helpful update is an indicator that shows when your melon has gone off the screen. For some of the baskets, you have to shoot up at a sharp angle. Previously your melon used to just disappear from view and you hoped it came down in the right spot. Now, an arrow pointing upward will move across the top of the screen, indicating the position of your melon.
Melon Truck is an enjoyable game. If you like Skeeball or other point and shoot games, this one is worth adding to your repertoire. Thank you Batuhan Akalin for the great updates!
