Behold, Esquire's Hardest Puzzle Ever For iPad

June 2, 2011
Magazines remain a tough sell on the iPad. Still, this doesn’t mean publishers are lying down. In fact, some are getting quite creative in trying to attract new readers. Case in point: the new Hardest Puzzle Ever app, from the folks behind Esquire magazine. Created by Hearst Communications, Inc. the app is the creation of the editors of Esquire and the “sadistic minds” at Puzzability. According to its iTunes page, the Hardest Puzzle Ever “will test your spatial skills, your brains, your wit, and your knowledge of literature and history and bad TV.” The app is free. However, it only comes with one free level. Four additional levels are available for one in-app purchase of $4.99. These levels are locked until the first is completed. Features include:
  • Visually stunning
  • Impossibly arcane challenges
  • Test your knowledge of books, music, politics, women, war
  • Embedded video and audio and actual humor throughout
  • Collect real origami trophies!
  • Win more awards and compete with friends via Apple Game Center
  • But mostly, you will test yourself, son—the greatest award of all
  • Five impossible levels, leaderboards, Facebook, Twitter, email integration
Esquire's Hardest Puzzle Ever is available in the App Store. Also check out the Esquire iPad Edition app.
