Become a pollen-collecting bug who flies around a pond in the new game, Bug Wings. Bug Wings is a brand new 3D flying game based on moving these small critters using the iDevices' tilt controls.
The game stands out among App Store offerings with its charming presentation and stunning graphics. It looks quite similar, but with much better graphics, to an older Nintendo 64 game called Buck Bumble. However, you don't get to shoot while flying in Bug Wings. The object is to collect things in the air like pollen and stars, and to land safely on flowers and lily pads. The flying bugs also get catapulted into the air.
The game offers both single player and multiplayer modes. The replay value is also high because of Bug Wings' arcade nature. You can replay older levels and unlock new ones as you progress. Here is more info about the gameplay (from the app description):
Take to the skies above the Great Pond and glide your bug to victory in this action packed arcade adventure. Help our Bug friends find the missing pollen and land safely on the flowers and lily pads, while avoiding the wet stuff. Score big points by collecting as much pollen as you can while aiming for the stars in order to multiply your landing tally. Here is a list of features to expect from the title (taken from app description:
Bug Wings looks to fill a gap on the App Store, as there are few arcade-style 3D flying games, so check it out. Also, look for our complete review of Bug Wings tomorrow! Bug Wings is currently available as a universal app on the App Store and costs $1.99.
