Deliver Parcels To Postal Codes In Postal Panic For iPad

June 30, 2011
A quick-thinking, logic game has hit the iPad, it's called Postal Panic. The aim of the game is to deliver parcels to postal codes as quickly as possible while achieving a higher score. The game is based in Britain where you start off in London and go nationwide as you progress. Postal Panic appears to be a traditional-looking puzzle game with logical elements like pen and paper crossword puzzles. The visuals do look quite charming and the HUD is filled with many different things to watch for. The different postal codes are all available in squares on a grid-like map where you must deliver parcels to them by figuring out a particular order. "As the Parcels come down the conveyor belt, you need to deliver them to the postcode displayed on the Postal Scanner 7000; you need to do this before they hit the bottom, as this will damage the parcel and Postal Paul will get fined. Too many fines and you're in for the sack!" according to the app description. There is a lot of quick-thinking involved with timing-based puzzles like this. It is almost as if it was meant to be an educational app turned into a game. Here are some other features to look for (taken from the app description):
  • Accurate map of the UK postal code system
  • Simple, intuitive touch & swipe game controls
  • Single or Multiplayer with up to 4 players
  • Addictively (sic) fun puzzle game play and scoring
  • Learn the Post Code areas of the UK and impress your friends & family
If you enjoy crossword puzzles, logic games, or want to try an interesting app based on the British postal code system, then Postal Panic is worth checking out. Postal Panic is currently available free for the iPad on the App Store for iPad free of charge.
