Help Create A Symphony Of iPhones On Wall Street

June 20, 2011

Want to make music on Wall Street? If you live in, or are currently visiting New York, now is your chance. Join several others in the 10th annual River To River Festival and Make Music New York as they gather in front of the New York Stock Exchange on June 21, 2011, to create a symphony with their iPhones.

According to CBS News, participants only need an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad and the GROUP application in order to be part of this awesome iDevice musical event. Each phone or device will emit a tone, and when joined together, it will create a united symphony. Musician and composer Aaron Siegel as well as software developer Larry Legend created the whole idea of GROUP. Andy Horwitz, the River to River Curator was drawn to GROUP for the collective experience it will provide during this event. Check out the video below to catch a snapshot of what the event will be like tomorrow. If I were in New York, I definitely would be part of this flash mob experience. I will be anxious to tune in and see how it turns out! All you need to do to join in on the fun is download the application GROUP from the App Store. Follow the included instructions and show up at the New York Stock Exchange tomorrow June 21, at 12:45 p.m. EDT!
