Once the initial treatments are finished, various patients may need other items such as shots or special towels. You will gather those specific items and deliver them to their room. Once the patient is discharged, you need to remove the linens and put them in the laundry before a new patient can use the room. When the patient leaves, you will earn hearts, depending on the level of care they received and how happy they are.

When you gather enough hearts to purchase hospital equipment, you are brought to a shopping area where you can pick out different items. These items will slowly make your hospital bigger and better.

Each work shift is considered a level in the game, and there are over 50 shifts and five different hospitals. There is some replay value, as you try to beat you previous score during that shift.
