The Pulse News Universe Now Includes The Web
June 3, 2011
The Pulse News universe is getting a little bit larger. Readers can now save articles of interest on their Pulse iPhone/iPod touch app or iPad app and read them later online. The new service, located at Pulse.me, was announced via the Pulse Blog.
Created by Alphonso Labs, the Pulse News Reader was one of the first RSS news apps created for the iPad in 2010. Since then, the California-based company has grown and now includes both an iPhone and Android app.
Pulse.me expands the company's reach to the web. Best of all, it is extremely simple to use once the initial setup is complete.
To use the service, you must first establish an account using any of the Pulse apps. This is achieved by clicking on the “.me” icon located at the top right of the screen and follow the basic on-screen directions. You may establish a unique Pulse.me profile or login using your Facebook account.
Once an account is created, you’re ready to use the new service.
Saving articles for later use is as easy as clicking on the star icon towards the bottom of each article on any of the Pulse apps. Once you do, the article is saved and magically appears at Pulse.me.
Online articles are arranged by the date saved and each may be deleted after reading.
Pulse.me is a nice concept. Its arrival officially brings Pulse to three different platforms: iOS, Android, and now to the web.
The service, like the apps, is free.
Pulse News for iPhone and Pulse News for iPad are available in the App Store.
