Braggr (Free) by work in progress is an app that allows you to brag about what you've bought on Facebook.

Everyone loves to buy something new that they've been wanting. Why shouldn't you brag about it? That's what Braggr is for.

To use Braggr, you will have to login with your Facebook account. Unfortunately, this is the only way to use Braggr at the moment. It's not a standalone app or social network where you can brag about your purchases with others--just your Facebook friends.

Once you're logged in, the app is very simple to use. You get a screen with your name, location, and Facebook profile picture (the location and name info is pulled right from your account). You'll also see how many products you've bragged about, as well as comments and likes received about your brags.

To start bragging, tap the "Share it" button at the bottom. This will bring up the camera view for you to scan barcodes of your items.

If you're in a dark area, the LED flash on the iPhone 4 will automatically turn on. If the conditions are fine, then the flash will remain off. Once the image focuses on the barcode, Braggr will show a green box around the barcode and then scan it.

When an item is scanned and the product is found in the database, a Facebook box will come up and allow you to type in a comment on the item. A photo of the item will appear as well with the name. Once it's published, it will appear on your Wall, and you'll be taken back to the main screen of Braggr.

When you have bragged about something, it will appear in the list. You will also be able to see if it has received any likes or comments. Tapping an item will bring up the information and photo of the item and you can read all comments. Items can be deleted from the Braggr app as well (but not Facebook).

I found the app to be well-designed, beautiful, and fast. However, I'm curious as to where it is pulling the product information from. I got a scan that resulted in "No product found!" despite it being a perfect scan.

Another thing to note is that on Facebook, if you click on the product name, it doesn't take you to a page to buy that product--you get taken to the page for Braggr. I think it would be cool if clicking a product name takes you to something like Amazon.com to buy it, instead of the app page.

It would also be nice if you could search for a product instead of scanning it, because some items may not even be "valid," like my unidentifiable scan.

Despite these small suggestions, Braggr is still a pretty fun app. You spend your hard earned cash on stuff you want, so why not brag about it to your friends?

Since this is a free app, why not give it a try? The only requirement is a Facebook account, and cool loot.
