PixyMe (Free) by Tukaiz, LLC is one of those adorable apps that simply does what it claims. Create personalized greetings by integrating the message of your choice into one of their many photos. With over 125 photos to choose from, you’re sure to find the perfect picture to personalize. And if not, you can use your own photos and put your message in a frame around it. There is something for everyone in this creative app.

The first time you open the app, you’ll need to enter your name and email address. The reason for this becomes clear in a moment. Start searching through the photos, cover-flow style. Each one will be pre-personalized with the name you entered. Choose one that you like and enter your desired text. In seconds, the photo will be personalized with the text you entered! It doesn’t look like you “added” text -- it looks like the text was always part of the photo.

Tap “Send”, and you will be given four options: Save, Email, Postcard, or Facebook. Tap “Save” and a high resolution version of your image will be saved to your camera roll. Tap “Postcard”, and a code will be sent to the email address you entered above. Enter the code, and you can create a real (as opposed to virtual) postcard. Edit the message, choose a recipient from your Contacts. For just $1.99, an actual postcard will be snail-mailed to your recipient.

You can “favorite” the photos that you like best for future use. The photos are divided into categories: What’s Hot, Favorites, Holidays, Celebrate, Travel, Animals, Entertain, Love, Kids Stuff, Nature, Food, and Sports. Additionally, you can choose Camera or Library to utilize your own photo. Once you take or choose a photo, you pick a frame. Your options are: Eggs, BabyBoy, BabyGirl, Cake, Daisy, Blocks, Snow, Baseballs, Straw, Pumpkins, Towels, SantaHat, Note, Antique, or Grunge. The text you have entered will be on the frame, not on your actual photo. You can see an example of this in my photo of a pink flower below; I chose the “Antique” frame.

If you’ve ever wanted to create a greeting card, love note, or personalized photo, this app is a must-have. It’s a heck of a lot of fun! And it is ONLY free for the month of June. So what are you waiting for?
