Call it a life coach in your pocket. This is done through pushing inspirational quotes and daily progress checks like: “Am I pushing the envelope?” Right below the title “My Dream” on the main page, there is a spot to place a photo. Photos can come from either your photos or from the app’s own “Dream Images” album, which is full of symbolic pictures.
The app’s main page, or “board,” allows users to upload a photo to focus on their dream, and then enter what they’d like to accomplish underneath. Other features include a “Quotes Alarm” to set when and what quotes will be pushed, as well as a “Past Quotes” feature that archives the quotes and allows them to be shared over Facebook or Twitter.
The history board keeps track of how many consecutive questions you have answered and how many of the 1,528 quotes have been unlocked. The board can be customized to have one of three different backgrounds: chalkboard, cork board, or legal pad.
The developers claim this app has helped hundreds of beta testers realize their dreams. While this may work for some people, I personally don’t see inspirational quotes as a motivator. Someone said something thought provoking. So what?
However, I think selecting a picture that represents your dream, along with a statement about it, would prove helpful in keeping me focused. So use the Great Seal of the United States as your dream image. You could be the next president! Or not. But if inspirational quotes are your thing, then this app would be worth the $1.99 investment.
