Folio Case ($1.99) by Alexander Repty is an elegant way to read PDFs on your iPad.

PDFs are a common format, and it's useful to have them with you on-the-go. What's the best way to read PDFs while on the move? With your iPad of course! That's because the large screen is much better than the iPhone for reading long documents. Folio Case wants to be your practical solution for PDF reading on the iPad.

On the launch, you get a Welcome PDF that will explain how to use the app. To view it, just tap on it. You can then flip through the pages by using the slider at the bottom or by tapping on the left or right sides of the screen. You can even zoom in on any document by double-tapping.

Going back to the documents manager, you can share a selected PDF by email or Dropbox, or delete it. A new PDF can be added by tapping on the "+" button and entering a URL of a PDF file for download.

You can also import local documents from Mail, web, or iTunes (this also works for exporting).

Additionally, you can link Folio Case with your Dropbox account. Doing this will allow you to import PDF files that are in your Dropbox account.

However, importing from Dropbox can currently only be done one at a time. There is no way to import multiple PDF documents, though I have brought it up with the developer. It may be implemented in a future release.

Folio Case is a well-designed app for viewing your PDFs. But it's use is limited, as you cannot edit anything. This is great if you are constantly just referring to PDFs, but if you need to edit them, this app is not for you.

I also had the app crash on me once, but luckily, you are able to send a crash report from within the app the next time it launches. The crash occurred as I was pressing buttons a little too quickly to go back a step.

If you need to read PDFs though, then Folio Case is not a bad option for $2. Just keep in mind that there are also more options out there.
