Movie Profiler ($1.99) by Giuseppe Belgenio is a digital movie library for all of your DVDs, Blu-ray discs, and even VHS tapes if, for whatever reason, you're still hanging onto those. To me, nothing can ever fill the void that is not having Delicious Library on my iPhone, but here is another app that gives it a shot.

I don't know about you, but I was upset when Delicious Library for iPhone was pulled from the App Store. To be honest, my media collection has gone digital almost entirely. However, I still hang on to the DVD collection I've accumulated throughout the years and like to keep it in check.

I love the ability to organize and keep track of all of my media. Chalk it up to mild Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, but I like to have neat little lists with pictures of all my gadgets, movies, and books. Not only does it look pretty, but it can be of great use if you ever have your stuff stolen, destroyed, or even burned up in a fire.

Movie Profiler allows you to keep track of all of your movies. You can enter a movie into your database yourself, or just search through TMDb which will automatically fill in the information for you (including cover art).

The app also has an area to enter movies onto a wishlist. I added three movies to my wishlist, but none ever showed up (even after a restart). This was a huge bummer. Also, I found out that it doesn't support the adding of television series' on DVD.

I was disappointed, to say the least, with the wishlist feature that didn't seem to work at all. Other than this and the fact that I can not add my television series' that I have on DVD, this app does what it should. It enters movies quickly and efficiently.

It's $1.99 in the App Store, which seems a bit steep for the features — especially when some of these features don't work. I think it could compete with the other apps of its kind once they update it to fix bugs and include television series'. Otherwise, there are other apps (e.g. Movies) that will do the job better. But if you want to give it a go for free, enter the giveaway below!

Giveaway: We have three copies of Movie Profiler to give to some lucky readers. For a chance to win a copy, simply leave a comment on this post by Friday, June 24 at 5 p.m. PDT. We’ll pick the winners randomly. Good luck!
