It also includes most of the features of the official Groupon application, including access to your account and the ability to buy from within the app.
Groupon is a website that allows local businesses to create deals that customers can purchase in advance. Discounts are worth at least 50 percent and there is a minimum number of Groupons that must be purchased before a deal will be official. Many people that have a Groupon account are fanatical about the website. I have saved hundreds of dollars on businesses that I patronize regularly.
Ultimate Groupon specializes in finding deals based on location. Groupon hosts websites for over 170 cities across the U.S. and Canada so there may be a good reason to check out a neighboring city to see their Groupon deals. People that commute between San Francisco and Sacramento, for example, may want to see what Groupon deals are available in both cities. If you are going on vacation to Honolulu, you may want to pick up a Groupon for kiteboarding lessons, or dinner at a local restaurant.
The way to view deals in Ultimate Groupon is by using the map. Open the app and allow it to use your current location. All nearby deals will appear as a tab that you can touch for more information. You can view deals "around me" or use the multi-city feature to access additional deals across the country. You can view these deals as a list and you can choose to peruse online deals only.
Ultimate Groupon has most of the same features as the official Groupon app. You can log in to your account and view your Groupons, and you can purchase deals through the app. You cannot, however, change your account information or access Groupons for printing or redeeming them.
Overall, this app is perfect for Groupon groupies that love finding deals; locally and otherwise. It is a must-have app for anyone that purchases at least one Groupon per week.
