"Summer Pignic" Arrives For Angry Birds Seasons

The folks behind the popular Angry Birds franchise have updated one of their apps. Rovio’s Angry Birds Seasons now includes a “Summer Pignic” round, thanks to an update just released to the App Store. First released ahead of Halloween 2010, Angry Birds Seasons now includes six different sections, each based on a holiday or time of year. These include: Trick or Treat, Season’s Greedings, Hogs and Kisses, Go Green, Get Lucky, Easter Eggs and now, Summer Pignic. The Version 1.5 update also includes a line of summer greeting cards to send to your friends via Facebook. Take a look:

With Summer Pignic now available, Angry Birds Seasons now includes levels across the entire calendar. It will be interesting to see if Rovio now retires this series or improves upon the existing levels. We bet the time will soon come for an entirely new Angry Birds game, but we really don't know at this point. Besides, Angry Birds Seasons is still missing a Thanksgiving and Arbor Day round! Angry Birds Seasons is available for both the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad. In addition, free versions are also available. All are available in the App Store. What do you think?
