The Hipmunk Flight Search App Arrives For iPad

Finding flights on your iPad shouldn’t be a hassle. Now it isn’t, thanks to the Hipmunk Flight Search app, which uses easy-to-read visuals to show you how to get from point A to B and at what price.
Created by Hipmunk, an online travel company, the app sorts flights based on “agony,” which incorporates factors such as how long you’ll be traveling and how many stops you’ll make. You can also sort flights by Cost, Departure, and Length.
Someone once said a picture is worth a thousand words and this is correct in this instance. Since all flights are placed on an easy-to-read grid (by Time or Price), finding your perfect flight is a lot easier than with other apps that don’t include this feature.
Once you find the right flight, you can book it on your iPad, email it to someone else, or book it directly using the Hipmunk website.
Now, about that website.
Before reviewing the Hipmunk Flight Search app, I didn’t know much about the Hipmunk service. However, now that I do, I am expecting bigger thinks from the company with regards to their universal app.
For one, Hipmunk (the website) offers both flight and hotel listings. For another, it makes recommendations for flight + hotel packages.
Hopefully at some point, the Hipmunk Flight Search app expands its offerings to include these features too. Of course at that point, the app should simply be called the Hipmunk app, but hopefully you understand my point.
For now, however, the free (and universal) Hipmunk Flight Search app is available in the App Store.
