Doodle Cam is similar to our previously reviewed Cartoonatic. It is created by the same developer, though it is older, and Doodle Cam’s video effects are less sophisticated. Cartoonatic is a free, ad-supported app. With an in-app purchase, you can remove the ads, get more video effects, and take still photos. Doodle Cam is not a free app, but once you purchase it, you get video and still photos included. Also, Doodle Cam has no ads.
Doodle Cam is easy to use. Use your front or back camera, take videos and stills with eleven different cartoon effects. You can even switch the effect while you are filming. Add sound effects and adjust the film speed to amusing effect. Share your results via YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, or email.
