AppAdvice has teamed up with Kiwiple in order to offer you a chance to win one of 10 promo codes for Magic Hour ($1.99) for iPhone and iPod touch.
Magic Hour is a photography app that allows you to apply tons of different filters to newly snapped photos or any of the photos from your library. But what really makes Magic Hour special is that it allows you to download user-created filters free of charge from the its built-in Filter Market.
Upon first launching Magic Hour, you'll be presented with the ability to take a new photo, grab one from your library, and download and manage filters. Since Magic Hour is all about the filters, you'll probably want to look through the 40 pre-installed filters to see what you have and then head right to the Filter Market to fill in the blanks.
The Filter Market features three tabs: featured, popular, and new. Each filter listing displays the filter's name, who created it, an image of what the filter looks like, and how many times it has been downloaded. Tapping on the filter will allow you to see an original photo and what that photo looks like after the filter has been applied. If the filter interests you, just tap the download button and it will be added to your list.
Filters in your list can be rearranged and favorited for easy discovery. You can also create your very own filter from scratch or tweak an existing one.
As for actually applying a filter to a photo, it's as easy as taking or choosing a photo, scaling it, picking a filter, and then saving or sharing it. If a filter you have just picked isn't exactly what you were looking for, you can quickly jump to a new one by tapping the left or right arrows on the screen. You can also change the focus of the image from this screen.
