A Day After Launch, JailbreakMe 3.0 Has Already Unlocked Over A Million "Evil" iDevices!
July 7, 2011
Less than a day after its anticipated release, comex' JailbreakMe 3.0 has already been downloaded over a million times.
The news, tweeted from iOS jailbreak developer Grant Paul's @chpwn account, is certainly impressive, but the numbers are tempered a bit by the sheer volume of iDevices currently in the wild. So far, these million downloads -- assuming they all went to different units -- represent a little over one half of one percent of Apple's installed mobile user-base.
However, since most estimates put the jailbreak community at some three to five percent of the total iOS market, comex' hack is well on its way to target audience ubiquity.
Congrats all around!
