July 21, 2011
Spiderweb Software has just announced the first update to its popular indy turn-based role playing game called Avadon: The Black Fortress HD. The new update, which is available now in the App Store, includes a number of features that improves upon an already impressive game. First released earlier this year, Avadon: The Black Fortress HD is a western-style RPG that shares similar elements to Infinity Engine games, such as Baldurs Gate, and PC classics, like the Ultima series. Version 1.01 includes the following features:
  • You can now change the screen orientation in the Settings window.
  • Characters' names now appear above their heads when you touch them.
  • Forcing an autosave while your last character is dying no longer causes problems.
  • A handful of other minor changes and typo fixes.
Avadon: The Black Fortress HD is available in the App Store for $9.99. The update is free to existing customers.
