This app is free that allows you to check restaurant deals in real time. As a matter of fact, BiteHunter gives you access to 50,000 deal sites and displays all the results as they are happening. They do all the work, you just open the app and search by your current location (or any other one you wish to check) and you can view a list or a map of all the current deals in the area.

The app conveniently allows you to see local restaurants, view a list of happy hour specials, lunch deals and more. I found the app incredibly organized which is great for when you're in a hurry and want to see information quickly and be done with it.

The user interface is straight to the point and simple. This makes it easy to get in, check deals, and get out. I had no problems with the gps feature that helps to locate your local deals. You have the option to view deals within a list or see them on a map. This is a great time saver compared to seeing a deal, searching for it's location on Google maps, then figuring out of it's close enough to justify the expense (my current routine with Groupon).

There's also a handy search option. Narrow down your options using keywords that match your specific taste. There's also a great option to get more information on each deal. Read reviews right from the app (collected from various sites). You can also call restaurants straight from the app to get more information.

I was amazed at the variety of options BiteHunter discovered for our area. Also, the app listed restaurants from closest to farthest – this was a time saver. I could check the closest places offering deals and if I didn’t like what they were offering, I could continue to check the ones that were just a bit further away and so on. The app also lists just how long each deal will be offered – this way you know you aren’t looking at deals that are expired. BiteHunter stresses that they display results in real time so you don’t have to doubt the validity of the deals you’re considering.

People who live in or near cities are more likely to see a larger variety of options. This is not the BiteHunter’s fault – just an observation to keep in mind if you live in small town America. If you see a limited number of deals listed in your area, the app will still come in handy for those nights out when you head to a nearby city.

There is really nothing to lose with this wonderful littler resource for your iPhone. It’s free and you have nothing but great deals to gain. Stop wasting time on all those deal sites for restaurants and get it all done in one place.
