DML (Free) by Jackson13.info is a music discovery app for those who love house, dance, club and similarly styled music. This ad-supported free app offers unlimited access to artists and allows you to download or stream songs to the app without all those copyright restrictions getting in the way.
The app offers a list of featured artists to start with, each with a song or video that you can listen to and share on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and other social networking sites. You can either stream the song by adding it to your queue and selecting the “Player” icon (once you have a playlist), or you can download each song for offline listening. This action takes a bit longer, but you will have the music with you wherever you go. You can check out your downloaded songs, delete them or play them from the player at anytime.
If you are in the mood for a specific style of dance music, you can pick a category from the “Genres” section. You can choose from Electronic, Frat Rap, Hip-Hip, House, Mash-Up, Rap, Remix, and Techno. At the time of writing this review, the Mash-Up category had a glitch that kept it from loading any songs. If you already know of a specific artist, you can search for them directly as well.
Other than the glitch in the Mash-Up category, there is nothing wrong with this app. It is full of what can only be described as free music. It is limited in style, but if you have any interest in dance music, then get a copy before someone decides they are infringing on copyrighted material and sends the developers a cease and desist letter.
