Jailbreakme.com Is Finally Up And Running For iOS 4.3.3 On Every iDevice
July 6, 2011
Jailbreakme.com has finally gone live!
The third edition of the easiest jailbreak ever has now been made available on jailbreakme.com, and you'll be glad to know it supports every iDevice (including the iPad 2). As before, jailbreakme.com is an untethered "userland" jailbreak, so all you'll need to activate the exploit is point mobile Safari to comex' website and follow the directions.
It's important to note that only iOS 4.3.3 is currently supported on the iPad 2, so those running an earlier version will need to update before jailbreaking. For the rest of your iDevices, here is the compatibility table posted by the DevTeam:
- iPad1: 4.3 through 4.3.3
- iPad2: 4.3.3
- iPhoneGS: 4.3 through 4.3.3
- iPhone4: 4.3 through 4.3.3
- iPhone4-CDMA: 4.2.6 through 4.2.8
- iPod touch 3g: 4.3, 4.3.2, 4.3.3
- iPod touch 4g: 4.3 through 4.3.3
As for the jailbreak itself, comex has once again taken advantage of a bug in iOS' .pdf reader, though Apple is expected to block this particular avenue very soon.
If you have any inquiries, the Dev-Team has launched a dedicated jailbreak question-and-answer portal at http://jailbreakqa.com/.
