Multiple User Accounts Come To iOS Via New Jailbreak

July 14, 2011
Many of us share our Macs with others, whether it be with family members or co-workers. Naturally, we do the same with our iDevices. However, while OS X allows us to create separate user accounts, the same cannot be said for iOS. However, Chris Herbert from Macstories recently uncovered a new jailbreak called iUsers for iPad, that lets you setup multiple user accounts. Created by Pedro Franceschi, the hack is located in the Settings app under Extensions > iUsers. Here one can setup multiple user accounts and passwords and choose whether they have admin rights or not. Once setup, each user has their own “set of app positioning, home screen wallpapers, settings, etc.” Petty cool, don’t you think? Check out the video below.

The jailbreak tweak is available via Cydia. What do you think? Leave your comments below. [Photo: Macstories]
