Need NFC On Your iPhone Now? There's A Hack For That

In a bit better suited for the Lifehacker set, Cult of Mac (via Unplggd) has a cute little piece called "How to Get NFC Payments on Your iPhone 4 Right Now." Before we go any further, though, I should mention that that title is more than a little misleading. Rather, the post should read something like "How to Take Apart Your iPhone 4 and Wedge a Bank-Issued NFC-Enabled Credit Card Between the Battery and Its Rear Panel."
Because that's exactly all that this "hack" entails.
For those interested, everything seems easy enough to pull off. Just follow the directions on the linked sites' posts. Be warned, though: It's probably not a very good idea to go altering and clogging up the internals of your favorite smartphone. The iPhone is a precision instrument, after all, and batteries get hot, and plastic melts. Just like the Cult:
We’re a little hesitant to open the iPhone and place anything right on the device’s battery...And just like the Cult's commenters, we're probably better off simply sticking the card into our iPhones' cases.
