Keep Track Of Your Calendar Events In A New Way
TOYOTA Better Is Never Enough Calendar (Free) by TOYOTA MOTOR CORP. resembles one of those promotional calendars that would typically be in the form of a refrigerator magnet.
While there are certainly a host of calendar apps available, “Better Is Never Enough” can actually hold its own.
The moment you open the app, you’ll be greeted with your accounts attached to Mail. No setup is required.
The app’s color scheme is the inverse of your typical white background calendar. Depending on what color your calendars are, a colored dot will appear on each day you have an event. Multiple events mean multiple dots. The slider at the bottom selects anywhere from a month view to one, three, five, or seven day increments.
The events view shows you just a chronological list of all your appointments, meaning you don’t have to sift through each month to find them. Adding a new event is easily done by hitting the plus symbol. The event details shows the time, location, and an inspirational quote for the week.
My main fear was that the word “Toyota” would be plastered everywhere possible within the app, such as “Check out the unbelievable sales at your local Toyota dealership!” etc. It is a free download, after all.
However, the minimal advertising is surprising. At worst there’s a link to the Toyota Global Website. The only problem I experienced was when the app lost its functionality after I left it. This only happened once, so it’s not typical. Force quitting the app and re-opening fixed the problem.
The app is aesthetically pleasing and plays nice with your calendars. It’s a handy tool as long as you can overlook the app’s name and its outside links.
At least you won’t need to clutter your refrigerator with another magnet.
