Wardrobe! ($0.99) by Luigi Povolo is the iPhone app designed to plan out users’ outfits. If you have difficulty figuring out what to wear then Wardrobe is for you.

Begin by adding all of your clothes into the clothes section of the app. Clothes are separated by tops, bottoms, shoes, and accessories. In each of these categories there are numerous additional categories to help you place your clothes. Each of the sub-categories has its own icon which is displayed in the wardrobe when you look at that category.

Add items by tapping the add button in the top right corner once you are in the right category (i.e. tops, bottoms, etc.) and then complete the information on the next screen. Enter information like the color, date purchased, brand, and even take a picture of the actual product. There are many different colors to choose from, but there is no option for stripes, spots, or multiple colors.

Users can add their favorite outfits in the outfit section. Tap on each box to select items that goes with the outfit, or add outfit options in the space. Be sure to name your outfit and then click add.

The final area is called random. Here you can shake your iPhone, and random clothing orders will pop up. If an outfit you like appears, tap the lock icon to lock the clothing in place. The randomize section is very hit-or-miss and can’t be used to pick out color coordinated items.

Wardrobe is a fun app, I like the idea but there are a couple things that could be improved. For one there needs to be more variety in the color option. Many clothes have more than one color, accents, patterns, etc. Since this is a clothing app, there should be more options to the color. At the very least it should have a striped, spotted, and multi-color feature. Secondly the outfits devised in the random section should have an add button where they can be put onto the outfit list if liked. These two additional features would make the app ten times more useful.

Overall, Wardrobe is a great idea and perfect for anyone who loves clothes. Although there are improvements that should be made, I still recommend that you check it out in the App Store.
