Quirky App Of The Day: Zombie Shock

Zombie Shock has you running through the streets barefoot and in a hospital gown while you wave a gun at zombies. This tends to be frowned upon in society. Not the part about flashing a gun in the face of a horde of zombies. I mean another sort of flashing that results when running in a hospital gown. Those things are rather breezy and unruly.
You are Abel. You and your brother Cain have developed the cure for AIDS. Congrats! Unfortunately, you suffer from a mental disease that needs to be treated in a mental facility. Isn't that a shame? I suppose that's the thing about being a genius. You tend to border on the line of insanity. While you're locked up, the Fear virus takes hold of New York City. The Fear virus is what turns people into zombies. All survivors are told to make their way to JFK airport for transportation. Considering how congested that place can be, I'm not entirely sure how smart it is to use it as the only means of escape, but the developers probably know something that I don't.
Using the touchscreen, there is a joystick in the lower left-hand corner. On the right is a button for shooting. Each zombie taken down is money in your pocket. Well, you don't actually have any pockets, so I'm not entirely sure where it's kept. In fact, I seriously don't want to even hazard a guess. All that's important is the fact that you can buy bigger, better guns. His stats can also be updated with the money you get. It's hard to run in bare feet. So, you can toughen them up. You can earn more money, and all the other basic stats are able to be updated.
Each level is a part of a chapter. There are 10 parts to each chapter, and the tenth part includes a special little friend bent on annihilating you. The gauge at the top shows how long you have until the level is over. You just have to survive until the end. Then, you go running off screen and have to keep on running. It's a sad, vicious cycle. Yet, without Abel's sacrifice, I wouldn't have had hours of entertainment. So, run crazy scientist guy, run!
