Starbucks Brews A New & Unified iPhone App

Starbucks Brews A New & Unified iPhone App

July 1, 2011
Starbucks has combined two of its iPhone/iPod touch apps into one, offering users a refreshing new way to build favorite drinks and then purchase them using the same app. The end result is a stylish, yet functional tool for Starbucks lovers. Version 2.0 of the Starbucks app replaces the company’s now-discontinued myStarbucks app and its Starbucks Card Mobile app. Beautify designed using the company’s new logo, the unifying app lets you check out your favorite drinks or foods with nutritional and allergens information for each. In addition, you may now order and send eGift cards for family and friends directly from the app. For most, however, the app’s main feature remains the ability to use your iPhone to make Starbucks’ purchases. A carryover from the Starbucks Card Mobile app, this feature remains simple to use and makes needing cash or a credit/debit card to make a caffeine-infused purchase a thing of the past. Here are the Verison 2.0 features:
  • Pay with your Starbucks Card using your phones, reload and transfer balances on your Cards.
  • See your My Starbucks Rewards level and star balance.
  • eGift functionality lets you send a gift to friends and family using your iPhone.
  • Customizable navigation lets you use the app just the way you like it!
Starbucks is a free download and available now in the App Store. The Starbucks Card Mobile app remains, but we suggest you use the new app instead. We expect the older one will be removed from the App Store soon.
