Thanks To Pee-Wee, You Can Get Video Time Machine For Free Today Just By Emailing The Devs
July 7, 2011
The one and only Pee-wee Herman is apparently a big fan of YouTube Time Machine, which he proved by dropping a direct link to the popular video discovery site right into his Twitter feed for his nearly 900,000 followers to see. To celebrate this unique Twitter accomplishment (can we call it that?), the developers of Video Time Machine have decided to "gift-away" their popular iOS app based on the service for the rest of the day today.
Video Time Machine is a slick little app that taps into YouTube Time Machine's database of over 10,000 new and old TV, music, advertisement, movie trailer, video game, and sports videos and allows you to watch them whenever and wherever you please.
All you have to do to discover a new video is select a year via the left dial and a category via the right. A video will immediately pop-up, allowing you to watch it or share it with friends via Facebook or Twitter. You can discover new videos within your designated year and category by simply tapping the green arrows. Videos can be played over Wi-Fi or 3G, and you can even send them over to your Apple TV via AirPlay to watch them on the big screen.
Sounds like fun, right? To nab yourself a copy of Video Time Machine ($.99) for iPhone and iPad, all you have to do is send an email to the developers telling them how much you appreciate their work and how you absolutely can not live without this app. Well, you don't have to say all that, but you can. In return, you'll receive a copy of Video Time Machine via the App Store's app gifting method, so it would be best to use the email address linked to your iTunes account. After that, just sit back and wait for your treat!
All requests must be received by the end of the day today (7/7). Also, and this is very important, only U.S. iTunes users can participate since Apple doesn't allow gifted apps to be redeemed in any other store. Sound good? Now get to it!
