WeatherPro For iPad Celebrates Summer With New Beach Features & Social Networking Integration

July 5, 2011
One of the top selling weather apps for iPad has received a nice update. WeatherPro for iPad now includes social media functionality as well as additional features for premium users. Created by MeteoGroup Deutchland GmbH, WeatherPro for iPad has been one of Europe’s leading paid-for weather apps in the App Store. Originally launched in May 2010, the app continues to get impressive updates and new tools for those obsessed with all things weather-related. Plus, since earlier this year, the app has provided premium features such as skiing weather. Weather Pro for iPad 2.1 lets users share the latest weather observations with friends and followers on Facebook and Twitter. In addition, premium members also receive water temperature maps for the Mediterranean, Caribbean, and other popular holiday destinations, plus a UV Index feature, which is essential when spending time in the sun.

Other new features include:
  • The radar view has a new feature in Version 2.1 with users now able to overlay city names and borders if they choose.
  • Minor bugs have been fixed, content display optimized and layout improvements made. For example, following user feedback, you now have the option to hide the search/favorites toolbar when in portrait mode (and in landscape mode if you have Premium).
WeatherPro for iPad is a terrific app and not just for those in Europe, where it was originally conceived. The app is available for $4.99 in the App. Premium packages begin at $1.99 as in-app purchases. Weather Pro for iPhone is available for $3.99
