Amazon Launches Dedicated Shopping App For Students — With Bonus Free Two-Day Shipping

Just in time for the beginning of the fall semester, Amazon just released a brand new shopping app dedicated to students.
Available free of charge, the Amazon Student app allows students to order textbooks, check prices, and even trade-in their old books for some extra cash right from their iPhone or iPod touch. Best of all, the app includes a bar-scanning mode to make finding books to order or trade-in even easier.
Of course, while focused on textbooks, the app can be used for any Amazon product and even offers a special bonus to students with a .edu email address. If you sign up for Amazon's Student program, you'll be given six months of free two-day shipping for everything you order through the app, with all the advantages of Amazon Prime apparently.
