An upcoming iOS racing game will be offering some truly unique ideas for the genre. Forever Drive has been described as a sandbox or open world game -- and not many titles like that exist on the App Store, except for Driver. The game will also allow players to create parts of tracks that will be blended together into a whole course. This means that the number of tracks available, and possible to create will be staggering, and will give the game a tremendous amount of replay value.
Touch Arcade reports that Forever Drive should be hitting Apple's approval process any minute now.
"In a conversation over e-mail, a representative from Supermono Studios told me that the open-world-y, sandbox-y racing game is about to enter certification, which can take weeks," Touch Arcade states.
Network sharing of user-created tracks will also be available through a Wi-Fi connection. Another interesting aspect to the game will be how different users combine elements of tracks to create a course by networking.
"Provided enough people create in the game, the track you race on could be the product of tens of thousands of user creators. I was told to think of this highway as a playlist where only the best and brightest will be added to the listing," according to Touch Arcade.
The game's visual style appears to be very futuristic in aesthetics and influenced by the Tron films. If you want to check out more info and screenshots visit Supermono Studios' blog here. Look for it to hit the App Store soon.
