Create PDFs In iOS With Adobe CreatePDF

August 29, 2011
From the makers of Adobe Acrobat comes a new way to create a high quality PDF right on your iPad, iPhone or other iOS device. Adobe CreatePDF by Adobe Systems is an app that allows you to create a PDF or convert another document into PDF format. Adobe CreatePDF has a clean interface and uses the same technology as Adobe Acrobat. This intuitive app uses Adobe’s online service to convert the file to PDF, which ensures there is no compromise in quality. The files will be preserved to look just like the original. Once the app is installed, it will become one of the default “open in” options, which you are given in order for iOS to communicate with other applications. When you open in Adobe CreatePDF, the application will run and convert the file to a PDF. Once a PDF has been created, it may be shared with other applications and sent in an email. With documents that are created in MS Word, Adobe CreatePDF is able to preserve links, endnotes and footnotes. Adobe CreatePDF supports several file formats including: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, text, WordPerfect,
OpenOffice and StarOffice documents. It also supports image formats: JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF, TIFF and RTF. All PDF files will meet accessibility standards. Adobe CreatePDF is available in the App Store for $9.99.
