EA Sports is about to release Madden NFL 12, the latest version of one of the company’s most popular sports titles. The game arrives beginning tomorrow, August 30, across multiple platforms in the U.S., including on iDevices.
First released in 1998, Madden NFL 12 is the second such title available for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad. The first, Madden NFL 11, was released last year and is still available as separate versions in the App Store.
Madden NFL 12 features running back Peyton Hillis of the Cleveland Browns on the cover. It includes all 32 NFL teams in authentic stadiums with updated rosters featuring nearly 2,500 real players.
In addition, the game retains features from Madden NFL 11 including “Total Defensive Control,” “Action Control Time,” “GameFlow,” and “Hot Routes Everywhere.”
Finally, Madden NFL 12 is expected to take advantage of the iPad 2’s improved hardware, offering those users improved graphics.
In addition to being available for iDevices, the game will also be sold for PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo 3DS, and PlayStation Mobile.
