MTV Live & Local App Arrives For iPhone/iPod touch

MTV announced today the availability of its new iPhone/iPod touch app called MTV Live & Local. The free app makes it easy to find and learn more about local concerts.
Created in conjunction with SuperGlued, the app provides real-time concert information on any artist, from Indie to Top 40. It also searches your iTunes playlists to create customized recommendations.

- Buy: Find lowest-priced tickets from a variety of vendors; users can purchase tickets through the app
- Calendar: See all local shows on a calendar and create your own to map out the events you'll be attending,
- Maps: Get directions and venue info before you attend a show.
- Social: Pre-show, share in-app with your Facebook and Twitter networks and automatically see who else is attending. During the show, check in via in-app Facebook and Foursquare access and see other tweets and photos from others that are also there. Post-show, Live and Local becomes a working database of all the shows and content you've attended and shared and gives access to others activity and concert profiles.
