No Choice Gets You The Answer You're Looking For
No Choice ($0.99) by First Generation Concepts allows you to stack the deck when it comes to asking a question.
How does the app work? You type up a question and then select whether you would like a yes or no response.
Say, for example, you would like to ask your boss if you can have a raise. After the question is typed up, you show your iDevice to your victim. In the example, the boss would obviously select the red “no” button.
But wait! That button is not only zipping around the screen, it’s also fading in and out. The green “yes” button, however, starts to look promising. It grows larger and doesn’t do the whole fading thing.
Would you actually get the raise? Probably not, unless your boss laughs so hard that he or she would have no choice but to reward your creativity. The app could work for any number of other situations as well, though they are all based on the same gimmick.
As it stands, this app is a one-trick pony, though the developer promises an update soon to add more features. Some possible additions include: multiple questions, different animations for the incorrect answer, and an option to add a thematic song to your question.
Your answer to “Should you buy this app now?” would probably be “no.” Just make sure you can select that box because it has a tendency to fly around the screen and fade in and out.
