Now that the Mac App Store has settled in deep, it's hard to find good apps elsewhere (except for MacKeeper of course). Your only preview of that $9.99 app are the few pictures below the apps description unless you get lucky and the developers page has a one minute video. Thankfully, the people behind Pulp newsreader realized this and are now offering free trails to people.
If you are one of those people stuck on getting a great news reader for your Mac or iPad, you can check out another option besides Reeder. Scroll to the bottom of their mac app page and click on "Download Trial" to test it out yourself for 7-days free. If you're satisfied at the end of the week, go ahead and purchase it for $9.99 in the Mac App Store or $4.99 for the iPad (iPhone version not here - yet). The features from their app store page.
