Friends Events ($0.99) by Sebastian Vogelsang is an app to help you manage your Facebook Events.

I'm definitely a sucker for well-designed apps, and overall, I'm pretty satisfied with what Friends Events has to offer. The interface is a dark theme for the menu bars and buttons, while the listing of events is lighter and more Facebook-like with white and blue colors. It's certainly nice to look at.

Facebook is a great tool for people to plan or RSVP to an event, so why shouldn't there be an app for this sole purpose? Once you log in to your Facebook account from the app, you'll get three views: Friends Events, My Events, and Friends.

Friends Events will allow you to view the events that you're friends are attending. These can be viewed in either List or Map mode. List will organize them by date, whereas Map will show them as red pins on a map. List will also reveal the event name, time, location, and a line of guests. On the Map, you'll have to tap on the pins to reveal more information.

If you want to view an event, simply tap it. This will reveal more information about the event as well as let you RSVP. Additionally, you can choose to add the event to your calendar, or share it via email or SMS.

My Events will show you just the events that you have been invited to or are attending. The layout is the same as the Friends Events, so there's nothing new to learn. Viewing your Friends will show you how many events they are attending and what they are.

I found Friends Events to be well designed overall and fairly useful if you are constantly using Events on Facebook to plan stuff out. However, I did experience a crash in the app when I would return to it after the screen locked, however, opening it back up had no problems.

My biggest gripe lies with the app icon. The rest of the app is so beautiful, but the icon is pretty bland currently. I seriously hope that the developers can improve the icon because it currently looks like it can be redone in MS Paint.

If you're a frequent user of Facebook events to organize with your family and friends, then you can't go wrong with this app for the price of a dollar. There is also a Lite version to try.
