Track My Coupons Will Have You Actually Using Coupons
Track My Coupons - Coupon Organizer and Reminder ($1.99) by David Nylander does exactly what you think it would.
It’s happened to all of us. You get a pretty good coupon and you want to use it, but you completely forget about it. Once you finally find it, you realize not only did you not use it for your recent purchase, but it’s also expired. Honestly, I think companies rely on this human condition.
But Track My Coupons is here to turn the tables.
Once your hand has cramped from clipping all those little darlings from the Sunday paper, you can then key them into your iDevice. Select the store name, enter the details about the coupon (product name, category, value), and most importantly when the coupon expires. Handy little icons differentiate the coupon types, such as buy one get one free, and half off.
A sale price calculator helps you determine your savings, and you can customize your tax rate and notification settings. A handy badge will show you how many active coupons you have.
You can even enter coupons through your Mac or PC. Enter the URL the app provides and you are brought to a spreadsheet asking for the same information as the app. I’ll admit typing it on the computer was a smoother process. You then email the file to yourself. Open the attachment on your iDevice and it will import your coupons.
I would have expected the coupons to be categorized by product name, though it appears that it is done by retail location. Entering coupons also feels complicated because I kept expecting to hit a “done” button to save my information. Apparently, you just return to your list of coupons, and your new one will be added.
If you’d like to get into clipping coupons (or if you have them down to a science) this app would definitely be up your alley.
I would highly recommend changing the color scheme from the default gaudy red.
