Planes, Trains, And Automobiles, Vehicles Tracks Them All
Vehicles ($2.99) by HaZeApp stores, on your iDevice, all of the information you’d like to track for various vehicles.
My dad kept a notepad in the glovebox to track his car’s oil changes, replaced parts, and any other anecdotal notes. This app basically replaces that. Record information on any number of vehicles.
The word vehicles is used loosely because the app invites you to consider anything a vehicle. Really it could be for just about anything.
Notifications let you know when it’s time to service your vehicles. The diagram feature lets you track expenses and fuel consumption. I think the fuel consumption diagram would be the most useful feature for individual use.
I imagine I would find this app useful if I was a fleet manager. Considering I have only two family cars, keeping track of them isn’t hard.
I’m sure if I was a fleet manager, I’d also use a spreadsheet program on a desktop. Storing important information on a mobile device is just asking to play the game of Murphy’s Law.
The app functions as claimed, though the interface isn’t as intuitive as it could be. Instead of the ubiquitous plus symbol to add something, you select a gear icon at the top left.
In the end, this app tries too hard to be something that really isn’t needed.
