Quirky App Of The Day: Playing Cowboy

I never really played cowboys and indians as a kid. I was more of a "the floor is lava" sort of gal. My brother loved cowboys though. He had a toy riding horse, we watched cowboy cartoons and he dressed as a cowboy for Halloween. The older I've gotten, the more I've come to respect all the hard work that cowboys do. They literally work from sunup to sundown. Playing Cowboy is an app with a grungy cowboy who plays musical instruments, will come to a shoot-out, and will let you record the whole thing.
I don't know what his name is, but I'm going to call him Ted. I think Ted is a cowboy-sounding name. Ted plays the banjo and the harmonica. You can even make your own harmonica songs. The banjo has keys you can play, but they didn't seem to work. Maybe it's a tumor pressing on my ear canal, and I just couldn't hear it. I won't discredit that theory.
Ted also joins you in a shoot-out. It seems a little harsh since he's such a nice cowboy, but you can pump him full of lead to your heart's content. Don't shoot before he touches his gun, or you'll lose for shooting an unarmed man. You can also do skeet shooting. Each item is worth a specific number of points. If you miss too often, you lose.
Playing Cowboy also has voice recording and touch interaction. If you poke him in the stomach he laughs like you're tickling him. If you tap him in the face, you punch him. If you punch him enough, he jumps up and down and scowls at you like my grandmother.
If you want to see what my disapproving grandmother looks like, download Playing Cowboy from the App Store for the awesome price of FREE!
