August 29, 2011
We’ve heard a lot of rumors in recent months that Amazon is about to release a device that will compete against Apple’s iPad. Now, that device could have a name according to The Android Authority. In recent days, Amazon has registered two website addresses; KindleScribe.com and KindleScribes.com. KindleScribe.com was first registered on August 20, with a modification date of August 27. Meanwhile, KindleScribes.com is currently registered to CONDOMAINIUM.COM INC., a web hosting company. Neither site is currently operational. While KindleScribe might not be the name of Amazon’s upcoming device, the purchase of the website(s) by the same name is interesting, don’t you think? The KindleScribe (or whatever it will be called) is rumored to be coming sometime this fall and include Android OS. It is also rumored to cost considerably less that the lowest priced iPad.
