Finger Gravity HD ($0.99) by Wode Mobile is a challenging puzzle game for the iPad with retro graphics and futuristic arcade play. Get your fingers ready to steer your spacecraft through confusing mazes, dangerous mines and deadly laser beams.
Using your finger as a navigator, you must swipe around obstacles and weapons that are designed to destroy your spaceship. Because you are flying without gravity, your ship will keep going even after you stop. Imagine that you are holding a stretchy length of rope, like a bungee cord, and the ship is attached to the end of it. The farther you drag your finger across the screen, the farther your ship will go. The longer you touch the screen, the faster your ship will go. In order to slow or stop your ship you must drag your finger in the reverse direction or it will crash into something. You will sustain damage if your ship hits any wall or other obstacle. Some, like lasers, cause more damage than others.
There are 39 levels, each gets incrementally more difficult that the last. Your goal is to make it through the course as quickly as possible, but you also need to collect the three stars that are placed throughout each level. There are two mini games that can only be unlocked once you have earned enough stars.
Overall, this iPad-only game is wonderfully addictive and entertaining to the end. It is full of challenges and will not leave you bored. The mini games are added bonuses that make the sticker price of $0.99 seem like a steal. Pick it up in the App Store.
