Fring Gets Even Better After Latest Update

September 9, 2011
The popular VoIP iOS application for iDevices, fring, has recently received a nice update. For the first time, the company is offering Playground, a new group video chat feature. Created by fringland Ltd., this handy app allows you to make voice and video calls to other users of the application. Furthermore, fring also works as an IM client, and can connect with Facebook, MSN Messenger, GTalk, and many other services. With Playground, fring users actively engage in four-way Video discussions either by browsing a list of open Playgrounds or by creating their own video discussions about what’s important to them. fring users can jump into Playgrounds with other fring users from their iPhone/ iPad/ iPodTouch or Android. According to Avi Schechter, CEO and Co-founder of fring:
“Playground Video chat empowers users to video & voice their opinions about things that matter to them. We let users do more than simply ‘follow’ their interests. Now they can actively engage with others via video chat, instead of waiting for character-constrained updates.
Other improvements of the latest update include:
Now with push notifications fringOut – Subscription calling plans: Unlimited worldwide calling to regular phone #s in 40 countries for $7/month (via iTunes account). Another way to cut your phone mobile phone bill. (fring to fring calls are always free)
