Here’s How To Get A Real iPad 2 At A Cheaper Price

September 1, 2011
While it will cost you more than $180, iPad 2 prices are coming down, sort of. Apple’s online store is now offering refurbish models for $50 less than retail. One day after we told you the story of Ashley McDowell, the South Carolina woman that paid $180 for a fake iPad 2 (it was a piece of wood), one may wonder if there is anywhere to buy a real Apple tablet for less. Yes, there is. Beginning this week, Apple is offering refurbished iPad 2s through their website. Available models, all $50 less than a new model, are:
  • Wi-Fi, 64 GB  $649 (ships in 1-3 days)
  • Wi-Fi + 3G, 32 GB  $679 (ships in 1-3 days)
  • Wi-Fi + 3G, 64 GB  $779 (ships in 1-3 days)

All refurbished models include Apple’s one-year limited warranty and are covered by the company’s 14-day returns policy. In addition, Apple is still selling refurbished original iPads via its site too.
