IDW Publishing To Bring Many Comics and Graphic Novels To iBooks

September 9, 2011
Comic book publisher IDW has announced they are coming to iBooks. This will be the first large collection of comics and graphic novels to be available for Apple's e-book app. IDW publishes some of the most successful comics and graphic novels in the industry, including Star Trek, G.I. Joe, Transformers, HBO’s True Blood and more. They are also the home of Library of American Comics Imprint, which reprints classic comics. Jeff Webber, IDW’s director of ePublishing said: “having this significant presence in iBooks will help readers discover creators and titles, much the same as browsing in major book retail chains.” The launch is kicking off with the title Code Word: Geronimo, which will be available for iBooks and in print. Written by military insider Captain Dale Dye (USMC, Ret.) and Dr. Julia Dye, Ph.D, this is a graphic novel detailing the raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound.
