The New Chili's App Makes Ordering Takeout Even Easier
Chilis (Free) by Brinker International Payroll Company, L.P has just released their own iPhone app. Now that they’ve jumped on the fast food app bandwagon, Chili’s lovers can enjoy all the perks of Chili’s on their iPhone; like the ability to place orders for pickup at participating Chili’s locations.
The Chili’s app is like most other mobile food apps. It is simple, straightforward and operates efficiently. Users can see a menu, find a location, place their order and pickup their food quickly. Unlike similar fast food apps, Chili’s app has lots of pictures of their dishes, thus enticing users to order more.
The app does allow for limited customization of certain orders, but the customization varies from dish to dish. Some have many options, while other have none.
There is also has a featured items tab that customer’s favorite menu items. Every item in the page has a convenient link to the order page. There is also a useful "current location" option for finding local restaurants. This eliminates the hassle of typing in your location every time you use the app.
The app requires an Internet connection, even to view the menu, which is a little unfortunate but shouldn’t be a problem for most users.
Now that Chili’s has gone mobile be on the lookout for its major competitors like TGI Friday’s, Applebee’s and more to follow in their footsteps. With any luck these restaurants will also release mobile apps into the U.S. App Store and make takeout even easier for iPhone owners.
