JellyCar 3 Lite Offers Demo, Advertisements
JellyCar 3 Lite (Free) by Disney provides the chance to get behind the wheel of a squishy car.
JellyCar 3 has been around for a couple of months now, but perhaps Disney is trying to garner some more attention by providing a lite version of it.
For those unfamiliar with the game, Timmy daydreams during math class as he draws a car on looseleaf paper. Participate in his dream by driving the car through a hand-drawn obstacle course, all against the backdrop of the lined paper.
This car fully lives up to its name because its wheels are super bouncy, it can squeeze in and out of tight spots, and it is lightweight. The car's dynamics makes this game all the more worthwhile.
Touching the left or right side of the screen will move the car in the respective direction. Tilting your iDevice will flip the car, which is handy if you "go turtle," or just want to hot dog your way through the level. In addition, a hand pump button will grow and shrink your car to meet the demands of the whimsical obstacles.
You can customize your car with either your own design or choose one from the gallery.
However, there is no question that this is just a preview of the paid game. An advertisement shows in the bottom corner of the screen any time you are at the menu or paused in game.
Perhaps the most annoying feature is whenever you complete a level. A box appears in the middle of the screen, prompting you to upgrade to the full version. Even more annoying, the only way to close the box is by selecting a tiny "x" in the screen's distant top left corner.
