Tiny Invaders ($0.99) by Hogrocket is an infectiously fun bug routing puzzle game featuring a group of space germs sent from space to take over the world.

Take control of tentacled space aliens and journey from host to host in a quest to control the minds of people across the country. Your ultimate goal? Infect the President of the United States.

If you’ve played a traffic or train routing game like Train Conductor, then Tiny Invaders will seem immediately familiar to you. In the game, you route germs through the body to collect little white balls, which are the key to spreading infection throughout the organ in the level.

To spread the germs, you’ll need to change the direction of the veins by tapping them, and often a level will require quite a few tricky route changes, making this a challenging puzzle game.

You can tap on your germs to make them charge through the level faster, and by the time you’re infecting the second body (an unsuspecting waitress), you’ll have to look out for antibodies who want to destroy your team of germs. Enemies can also be sped up by tapping, so in addition to routing the invaders, you will need to carefully time their passage so they don’t get gobbled up.

In some levels, you start with just one germ, while in others, you have two or more. Grabbing a yellow ball will earn you another germ, making the infection spread faster.

The goal in every level is to infect the organ in a certain number of seconds, a feat that will take some practice to perfect. I had to play most levels at least twice to get optimum times. There are achievements to earn and leaderboard integration so you can compete with friends and family.

If you like puzzle games, Tiny Invaders is a must have. The graphics are cute and disgusting all at once, and the gameplay is fantastically addictive. This is one game that’s earned a permanent spot on my iPhone.
