Quirky App Of The Day: Giggle Water: On The House

Giggle Water: On The House is a game of hand eye coordination. I have none, so it was all the more interesting. Set in the days of Prohibition, you're on a mission to drink yourself silly. With a martini glass in hand, you catch drops of bright green booze to soothe your dapper soul. Tilting your iDevice in all directions, your fedora-sporting mobster giggles back and forth to catch the drink. The goal is to tip it into his mouth. The game is timed by a bar along the left side. When that time runs out, or when your mobster trips off stage, the game is over. The more drinks he has, the harder it is to balance and "refresh" him. By the end, he's a slobbering drunk, bent over double, smashing his drink into his face. I'm sure there are plenty of New Year's Eve parties with similar scenes.

With upbeat ragtime music in the background, a red velvet curtain opens and closes on each scene which adds to the speakeasy feeling of the app. Your score is kept with tally marks behind you, etched on the back wall. By the time I ended the game, I'm sure his blood alcohol content was a solid one. I'm not a scientist, nor am I an experienced drunkard, but I'm sure that over 100 drinks of anything will kill you. Therefore, I don't recommend using this app as a personal drinking challenge. Giggle Water: On The House is a universal app and is available in the App Store for the awesome price of FREE!
